Harlan has been in the Business Continuity field for almost 9 years, with an additional 5 years in IT prior to that.  He has worked for three different firms during that time in very active programs, and learned a lot about the different methodologies that can be employed for Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Emergency Management.   Harlan also spent 8 years as an Attorney in private practice, and still maintains his Law license in the State of Missouri. 

Pandemic Planning has become a recent phenomenon, as the threat of H5N1, drug-resistant TB and other infectious diseases threaten to turn into a full blown pandemic.  Harlan has spent the last 2 1/2 years helping the St. Louis region prepare for the inevitable pandemic that experts say is coming.
