ACHIEVEMENTS – BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY
- Implemented BC/DR program for Operations in America for large global company. Managed in-house disaster recovery between multiple live data centers, including power down tests and site failover tests for critical applications. Led BC/DR program that received ISO 27001 Certification for three data centers in America and eight globally.
- Led all phases of BC/DR program for a large health insurance firm. Participated in over 90 business unit BC exercises per year. Responsible for rollout of LDRPS software, including development of user training program. Managed recovery of DR program at third-party vendor location.
- Strengthened aspects of BC program for large regional bank. Performed in-depth Business Impact Analysis, which led to stronger BC plans. Had budget responsibilities and supervised employees. Received two promotions within 18 months while employed by the bank.
- Educating the community on how to prepare for a pandemic. Created organization to fill a need in the community, planned quarterly seminars, created website, brought public and private sector together in common cause.
- Past President of MidAmerica Contingency Planning Forum, a local professional networking group. Planned monthly meetings on BC/DR issues.
