Management Consulting

Management often needs to bring in subject matter experts to help determine the best course for the long term health of the company.  BCP is no different than any other discipline in that regard.  Management needs to understand the Return on Investment, or ROI, that a well rounded Business Continuity Plan would bring to a company.

The only actual study of this subject came from the Oxford Executive Research Briefings, and can be found at the following location:  The Impact of Catastrophes on Shareholder Value.  The conclusions of this research were that companies that recovered well from the catastrophe increased their stock price by 7% within 9 months, while companies that did not recover well lost 15% of their share price following the disaster during the same period.  This is a 22% swing of a company’s value, which can be Millions or even Billions of dollars for many companies.

That makes a strong Business Continuity Management program an inexpensive form of insurance that any company should not be without.

Dolgin Consulting can meet with senior management and explain the critical nature of a well rounded Business Continuity Management program and can assist in the justification of devoting resources to the BCM effort.
